Enabling push notifications
Grant permission
When prompted, allow CalGest to send notifications. This is required for push notifications to work.
You can also manage notification permissions in your phone’s system settings under CalGest > Notifications.
Notification types
| Event | Description |
|---|---|
| New appointment | Someone booked an appointment (via booking page or colleague) |
| Appointment changed | An appointment was rescheduled or modified |
| Appointment cancelled | An appointment was cancelled |
| Reminder | Upcoming appointment reminder (based on your settings) |
| Customer update | A customer profile was updated |
Customizing notifications
You can control notifications at two levels:- Organization level — in Settings > Notifications on the dashboard, choose which events trigger notifications
- Device level — in the mobile app’s settings, choose which notifications appear on your phone
Notification sounds and badges
The CalGest app uses your phone’s default notification sound. The app icon shows a badge count for unread notifications. To customize sounds or badges, go to your phone’s system settings:- iOS: Settings > CalGest > Notifications
- Android: Settings > Apps > CalGest > Notifications
