Fill in the details
- Name — what you call the service (e.g., “Haircut”, “Deep Tissue Massage”)
- Color — choose a color for the calendar
- Default duration — optional; sets the default length when creating appointments of this type
Using appointment types
Once created, appointment types appear as options when creating or editing appointments. They’re also used for:- Calendar color-coding — appointments are displayed in the type’s color
- Filtering — filter the calendar by type to focus on specific services
- Online booking — choose which types clients can book on your public booking page
- Custom fields — bind custom fields to specific appointment types so they only appear for relevant services
Managing appointment types
You can edit or deactivate appointment types at any time. Deactivating a type hides it from new appointments and the booking page, but existing appointments that use it remain unchanged.Aftercare messages
Open an appointment type to configure an automatic SMS aftercare message. It is scheduled from the appointment’s end time for appointments that remain scheduled, confirmed, or done. Cancelling the appointment or marking it as a no-show cancels pending aftercare. Choose a delay from 1, 2, 4, 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours, or 7, 14, or 30 days. The template can use customer name, appointment type, date, time, and organization placeholders.Aftercare currently uses SMS. It consumes notification credits in the same way as other customer SMS messages.
