## Customizing notifications

You can control notifications at two levels:

1. **Organization level** — in **Settings > Notifications** on the dashboard, choose which events trigger notifications
2. **Device level** — in the mobile app's settings, choose which notifications appear on your phone

<Tip>
  If you're not receiving notifications, check that:

  * Notifications are enabled in your phone's system settings
  * You're signed in to the correct organization
  * The notification type is enabled in both dashboard and app settings
</Tip>

## Notification sounds and badges

The CalGest app uses your phone's default notification sound. The app icon shows a badge count for unread notifications.

To customize sounds or badges, go to your phone's system settings:

* **iOS**: Settings > CalGest > Notifications
* **Android**: Settings > Apps > CalGest > Notifications
