# Your mini-site

> The public page around your booking form: photos, services, opening hours and contacts.

Your booking page is also a small website for your business. It has your name, photos, services and prices, opening hours, address and contacts, with the booking form in the middle. It lives at your own address, such as `https://ana-nails.calgest.com`, set by the slug in [Settings > Booking](https://docs.calgest.com/booking/setup.md#address-and-title).

## What the page shows

From top to bottom:

* **Your name**, on a band in your colour, with your logo, the page title and the description. A cover photo, if you add one, fills the band and fades into the colour behind the words. The band has a **Book** button and, when you give them, your phone and Instagram.
* **Services**: the types the page offers, with duration and price. Group services are marked **Group class**.
* **About**: your text about the business.
* **Book online**: the booking form.
* **Gallery**: your photos. Visitors can open each one full size.
* **Opening hours**, **Find us** with a link to Google Maps, and **Contact**.
* A small "Bookings by CalGest" link at the bottom.

Sections without content don't show. On a phone, a **Book** bar stays at the bottom of the screen until the form comes into view.

The page uses your language for customer messages, from [Settings > General](https://docs.calgest.com/settings/general.md#organization-details).

### Where the content comes from

* **Prices**: open the service in [Appointment types](https://docs.calgest.com/appointments/types.md) on the web and fill in **Price** in euros, such as `25` or `25,50`. A service without a price shows none.
* **Opening hours**: the weekly availability groups that are switched on (see [Availability](https://docs.calgest.com/booking/availability.md)). Date-range and specific-date groups don't appear here. The hours change as soon as you save the availability, without publishing. Turn off **Show opening hours** in the **Mini-site** tab, or in the mini-site editor in the mobile app, to hide this section.
* **Find us**: the address you give on the **Mini-site** tab. Without one, the page shows the name of the **Default Location** from the **Services** tab.

## Edit the mini-site

Open **Settings > Booking** and select the **Mini-site** tab. Everything you type there is shown as plain text.

| Setting | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Page Title** | A short line under your business name at the top of the page. It's required |
| **Description** | One short sentence, such as "Nails and lashes in central Lisbon". Search engines show it under your name |
| **Logo** | Shown at the top of the page and in the browser tab. A square picture works best |
| **Cover photo** | A wide photo across the top of the page. It's also the picture shown when someone shares the link |
| **Gallery** | Up to 12 photos of your space or your work. Add a short description to each one for people who use a screen reader. **Move up** and **Move down** change the order |
| **About the business** | A longer text, up to 1500 characters. Line breaks are kept |
| **Colour** | The colour of the buttons and the top of the page, such as `#1f7a8c`. The text on it turns black or white to stay readable |
| **Phone**, **Email**, **Instagram** | Shown as links customers can tap. For Instagram, enter your username, such as `@my.business` |
| **Street and number**, **Floor, shop or building**, **Postcode**, **Town or city** | Your address, shown with a link to Google Maps. Once you fill in any part, the street and the town are required. Leave all of it empty if customers don't come to you |
| **Show in search engines** | On by default, so people can find your page by searching for your business name. Turn it off to share the page only by link. This switch changes your live page when you save, without publishing |

The booking form and the embed show the title and description too, so they change there when you publish.

## Drafts and publishing

Changes on the **Mini-site** tab don't reach visitors straight away. They go to a draft, and your site keeps showing the published version until you select **Publish**.

* The title, description, text and contacts save to the draft through the save bar at the bottom, with the rest of the booking settings.
* Photos save to the draft as soon as they upload. Removing a photo, changing the order and writing a description change the draft too. Photos need a booking page that has been saved at least once.
* Opening hours, services, the slug, the switch that turns the page on and off, and **Show in search engines** aren't part of the draft. They go live as soon as you save. When the save bar holds both kinds of change, it says "Hours and services go live now. Site text and photos go live when you publish."

A brand-new page has nothing published yet, so its first save puts the title and description live straight away.

The top of the tab shows **Live** when there is no draft, or when the draft was last saved, such as "Draft saved 2 minutes ago. Not live yet." Next to it are **Preview**, **Publish** and **Discard draft**.

### Preview

**Preview** opens your site with the draft in a new browser tab. It saves your unsaved changes first and waits for photos that are still uploading, so the preview matches what's on screen.

* Only you see the preview. It needs you signed in to CalGest, as someone who can change the booking settings.
* The link opens once. It stops working after a minute or after the first use, so copying it to someone else doesn't share the preview.
* The preview stays open for 30 minutes in the browser that opened it. After that, select **Preview** again. If someone removes your access to the booking settings, the preview stops on the next reload.
* Nobody can book from the preview. A card shows where the booking form goes.
* A banner at the top says it's a preview. Search engines don't index it.
* The preview works while the page is switched off, so you can check the site before customers see it.

If your browser blocks the new tab, the **Mini-site** tab shows a link to open the preview instead.

### Publish

**Publish** makes the draft your live site. Like **Preview**, it saves your unsaved changes first and waits for photos that are still uploading. It stops without publishing when:

* a photo didn't upload, or a photo change didn't save. The tab lists each one with **Try again**, and with **Remove** for a photo or **Dismiss** for a change. It says, for example, "One photo didn't upload. Remove it or try again before publishing."
* your changes didn't save, for example because a field needs fixing.

After you publish, visitors see the new version within a minute. New photos can take a few seconds longer.

### Discard draft

**Discard draft** deletes the draft and puts the published text back in the form. It asks first and says what goes, such as "3 new photos and your text changes will be deleted. Your live site doesn't change." **Keep draft** cancels.

If someone published or discarded the draft on another device after you opened the tab, **Publish** and **Discard draft** stop and say "This draft was changed on another device. We reloaded it; your unsaved text is still in the form."

### Photos

JPEG, PNG and WebP photos work, up to 5 MB each. CalGest scales each one down to at most 2000 pixels on its longest side before uploading it, and removes the hidden data phones store in photos, such as where it was taken. On a computer, iPhone photos in HEIC format may need exporting as JPEG first. The mobile app handles them directly.

Photos count toward your plan's [storage](https://docs.calgest.com/settings/usage.md#storage).

## When the page isn't available

Visitors see "This page isn't available" when:

* the page is switched off in Settings > Booking;
* the address changed, and they used the old one;
* the organization's subscription isn't active, or the organization is being deleted.

## In the mobile app

Open **More > Organization Settings > Booking Page** and tap **Edit mini-site**. It has the same title, description, text, contact and address fields, the logo, cover and gallery photos, and the same draft with **Preview**, **Publish** and **Discard draft**. **Preview** opens the site in your phone's browser.
