# Search

> Find customers, appointments, team members and settings pages from anywhere in CalGest.

The search bar sits at the top of every page on the web dashboard. Click it, or press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows.

## What you can search

Type at least three characters. Results come in groups:

| Group | Matches |
| - | - |
| **Pages & Settings** | Pages and settings sections by name, such as "reminders" or "booking page" |
| **Customers** | Name, email or phone number |
| **Appointments** | Title, customer, team members, appointment types and location |
| **Team** | Name, email, phone number or position |

A phone number matches by its digits, with or without spaces and with or without the country code. Appointments don't match phone numbers.

Each group shows the best few matches. You only see results you have permission to see: without access to customers, for example, the **Customers** group stays empty.

## Opening a result

Use the arrow keys and Enter, or click a result.

* A customer opens their page.
* A team member opens their page.
* An appointment opens on the [agenda](https://docs.calgest.com/appointments/agenda.md).
* A page or setting opens that page.

Before you type, the search shows **Recent**: the customers and team members you opened from it. **Clear** empties the list.

## In the mobile app

Tap the search icon on the **Agenda** tab. Results appear after three characters and are grouped into appointments, customers and team.
